Dominica Alozie- FOUNDER
Dominica grew up in Afara, Umuahia with her mother, father, and two older brothers. She attended secondary school at Queen of the Rosary College in Onitsha, and then obtained her B.S. in Home Economics at Ohio University. She went on to obtain her first masters in Agricultural Economics at Utah State University, and her second masters in Special Education at City College. After retiring from teaching special education in Manhattan for over 10 years, Dominica now devotes her time and knowledge in furthering the development of the Udukoro Empowerment Organization.
Arinzeolisa Uddoh- CO-FOUNDER
Arinze is the first grandson of Dominica. He is an Amherst College alumnus who holds a B.A. in Economics with a minor in African Studies. Arinze currently works as a Sales Development Representative at Moodys Analytics. Arinze works with Dominica to organize Udukoro’s community-based projects, and also manages fundraising, social media, the Udukoro Monthly, and website development.
Uche alozie- Financial Advisor
Uche is the first son of Dominica and attended secondary school at the Nigerian Military School in Zaria. He then attended Baruch College in New York City and obtained his B.B.A. in Accountancy. After working at Deloitte as a certified public accountant, he earned his M.B.A. in Finance at Columbia University. Uche now runs a real-estate development and principal investment company out of New York City. Uche advises investment strategies for Udukoro’s community development.
nkechinyere alozie- Communications officer
Nkechinyere is the last daughter of Dominica. She moved from Umuahia to the Bronx, New York at a young age and attended Cathedral High School in Manhattan. She then obtained her Liberal Arts Associates of Science from Bronx Community College and is currently working on her second degree in social work at Lehman College. She also currently works at the Bronx Veterans Hospital. Nkechinyere helps with resource allocation and project communication for the organization.
